Whoa, this is black metal so raw that it sounds like a wall of harsh noise. I'm talking all treble, just a sheen of abrasive attack. Everything is distorted beyond belief, and the output levels are way off the scale. All of the material (lyrics/music) is traditional, performed in a black metal style with effective screaming vocals. But the production is just intolerable, I can't even listen to it. I think I can hear some drums and "clean" guitars in "The Young Girl Cut Down in Her Prime: Pills of White Mercury", which is the most diverse and melodic attempt. Elsewhere some stringed basslines are barely audible. The artwork is printed from a home computer, and though the visuals fit perfectly, the text is very hard to read. What I can make out of the audio isn't awful, but the senseless recording does no justice to what the music might offer otherwise.
